-severe ankle twisting causes the gap between the calf and the foot. -the gap of the ankle becomes a habitual ankle twisting(s) -I always check the line of the calf and foot -I look at the just underneath the distal portion of fibular tuberosity whether there is a curved or gaped space. when there is a curved line, it means that the ankle has a very unstable stage. -recommend high neck shoes (basketball shoes), ankle brace when you run or standing a long period, -ems on frontal calf areas, kinesio taping, acupuncture...
